When Was It Taken: Dating Old Family Photos with Julia Johnas

  • Wheaton Public Library, 225 N. Cross St., Wheaton, IL 60187

Old family photos are often a puzzle, but fashion trends, hairstyles and photographic methods provide clues to your family story. In a slideshow of photographs from the 1870s to the 1920s, local historian Julia Johnas illustrates clues that may be in your family photos. Do you have a puzzling photo? Bring it and Julia will examine it for dating clues.

This will be a hybrid event, with an in-person presenter and both in-person and virtual participants.

Registration details will be posted at https://wheatonlibrary.org/events/ by mid-January.

Co-sponsored by the DuPage County Genealogical Society and the Wheaton Public Library.
