Janis ForteA exploration and review of elements in the census including the population count and supplemental schedules as the valuable information revealed. Between 1820 and 1880, census separate supplemental schedules contain valuable information which should be incorporated into the lifestyle and history of your research families. Commonly referred to as ‘non-population schedules’ these returns including: Agricultural, Manufacturing & Industry, Mortality, and Social Statistics Schedules contain significant social, economic and genealogical information. This lecture provides an exploration of selected schedules and highlights the value of their content in the structure and history of family and community life. This lecture also presents special censuses and a review of selected state census.
